Psychiatric Terms, Part 1 ltw0025a

Dr. Ankenman defines his terms for the love defects: infantile, work substitute, and work-for-love. He distinguishes these from mainstream psychiatric terms and also explains why certain love defects make people more susceptible to particular psychological disorders. For example, the work-substitute is more likely to develop a personality disorder because he does not know how to interact with his emotional life.

It’s good to listen to this again even tho it’s long and you think you already know the definitions. He talks about depression and anxiety in here, too.
